1. Create a selection of your hair area.
2. Copy and paste it to a new layer.
3. Use the Curves tool or the Levels tool (in images > ajustments)to make the background white and the hair black
4. Go in the channels pannel and select the the combined RGB channel while pressing the Ctrl button on your keyboard.
Photoshop now has selected all the white in every colors in your image.
5. go back to your original layer, duplicate it.
press the delete key (considering you did not deselected your selection)
6. you may delete what is not hair in this layer by creating a selection of your hair area, inverting it and hitting the delete key. |
